Instruction
before taking eyes examination |
1. For your convenience please make an appointment
by telephone (Tel. +66 7426 3223, +66 7445 1745-6) for your appropriate
date and time in eyes examination.
2. Patients with contact lenses should refrain form wearing them at
least 3 days for Soft Lens and 7 days for Hard Lens or Semi-Hard Lens
prior to the appointment. Since a long period of wearing contact lenses,
the shape of cornea may be changed and will effect the accuracy of
examination’s results. Therefore Ophthalmologists have to let the
patient remove contact lenses before the examination for the purpose
of recovering the cornea’s shape.
3. Time consume for thorough examinations process will take approximately
2-3 hours.
4. The eyes examination required eye drops for pupils’dilatation effect,
which will decrease the ability of the eyes against bright light.
Therefore you should bring a relative or friend to assist your return
trip, also sunglasses are recommended after the eyes examination.
5. If you have any personal illness, pregnant or during lactation
period please inform your Ophthalmologist.
6. The Ophthalmologist or our well-trained staffs will give any additional
details or advice concerned your next appointment.

What
to do on the day of LASIK treatment? |
1. For you convenience please arrive Crystal LASIK
Center by 15 minutes ahead to your appointment time.
2. You should have someone to assist your return trip after LASIK
procedure.
3. Take a bath and shower cleanly from home.
4. Refrain from using cosmetics especially around your face and eyes
including perfume, hair spray, deodorant and odorous cosmetics.
5. Wear comfortable clothing, tight T-shirt is not recommended because
it may scratch the eyes while taking off.
6. Regular medicines or food could be taken as usual. Nevertheless
some specific medicines have to be discontinued upon the advice or
instruction form the Ophthalmologist.
7. During the operation take it easy and not to worry for anything,
just follow Ophthalmologist and nurse’s instruction step by step.
8. After LASIK surgery there’s no need to admit in the hospital. The
Ophthalmologist will make an appointment by the next day to take off
the eye shield and re-examine the eyes.
9. Consent Form should be properly signed prior to LASIK procedure. |
Post
operative Instruction |
1. Some side effects may be occurred after LASIK
procedure as follow;
- Tearing, itching eye, close your eyes could be helpful in reducing
the symptoms
- Some may have eye redness or eye’s sensitivity
to bright light but the symptoms will be recovered within one week.
2. It is prohibited to remove the eye shield by yourselves. The Ophthalmologist
will remove it by the appointment on the next day.
3. The patient should not use the sight for prolong period following
the first 24 hours after LASIK procedure, including driving, reading,
watching TV, or working on computer screen. These will cause irritation
to your eyes after LASIK procedure. The best thing to do is lie down,
closing the eyes or sleep.
4. No rubbing of the eyes definitely and take precaution not to allow
water to get in your eyes for at least one week. If it really necessary
to clean the facial area during this week, use wet piece of cloth
to wipe the face only.
5. Instill eye drops or take oral medicines as prescribed by the Ophthalmologist
strictly.
6. Put on the eye shields while sleeping for one week to prevent rubbing
the eyes inadvertently.
7. Avoid places with dust or smoke, put on sunglasses when going out-side
8. No swimming or diving for one month.
9. Refrain from using cosmetic around the eyes including eye shadow
for one week.
10. Avoid wearing tight T-shirt for 2 weeks.
11. Attend all postoperative appointments scheduled as follows: 1
day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months and 1 year.
12. Strictly observe the Ophthalmologist’s recommended instructions
which will effect overall treatment outcome, in case of any problems
or abnormalities see the ophthalmologist immediately. |
